Guarino's Pastry Shop Located on Washington Street, Guarino's is an Italian/American bakery. Giuseppe, originally from Naples, Italy, opened the store in 1975, and to this day, Guarino's is still a family-run business. They specialize in Italian rum cakes, cannoli, and pastry trays.  They also offer a large variety of Italian breads, cookies, Italian pastries, cakes, and desserts. Guarino's is open 8 am – 6 pm Monday to Saturday, and Sundays 8 am – 1.30 pm. 2. The Common Cafe & Patisserie The Common is a café and bakery situated at 637 Washington Street. Everything is made and baked from scratch, in-store using the finest ingredients. They offer gourmet coffee, breakfast, and lunch, plus a range of bakery and patisserie items. Sandwiches, wraps, soups, and salads make up their breakfast and lunch menu. Their delicious range of home-baked desserts includes pecan squares, Caramelita Bars, cookies, cakes, cheesecake bon-bons, cupcakes, and truffles. 3. Cheff'n & Eetinn This bakery offers freshly baked items that are ready to eat along with a selection of lunch and dinner items. They also serve frozen treats and meals that can be taken home and cooked. Bakery items include a variety of brownies, cookies, pies, scones, and pastries. You can find Cheff'n & Eetinn at 645 Washington Street. They are currently open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 11 am – 6 pm. 4. Ever So Humble Pie Co Ever So Humble over in East Walpole bake up a huge range of savory and dessert pies. They are purchased frozen so that they can be taken home and stored until ready to eat. They take approximately one hour in the oven and promise to be the freshest tasting pie you can imagine. Savory pie flavors include Chicken pot, shepherds, and Canadian meat pie. Plus, zucchini and bacon cheddar frittatas. If you're in the mood for something sweet, how about a fruit pie, raspberry heart, New England Apple Crisp, cream pie, or key lime pie. They also serve a selection of freshly baked goods daily, including tea breads, scones, cinnamon donuts, and whoopie pies, all in a range of flavors. Visit them at 153 Washington Street, Monday to Fridays 8 am – 5 pm, and Saturdays 8 am – 1 pm. 5. SPoT! Although not technically a bakery, they do bake a selection of fresh bagels and whoopie pies daily. So in our eyes, they count. The bagels come in a variety of flavors and can be bought to eat in or takeaway, singularly, or by the half or dozen. Flavors include plain, garlic, salt, cinnamon raisin, chocolate chip, onion, egg, and pumpernickel raisin. Alternatively, they can be topped with a range of shmears and toppings or made into a bagel sandwich. Sandwiches include hot veggie melt, Italian sausage, and nova lox and cream cheese. They also serve teas, coffees, iced coffees, juices, Italian Ice, frozen lemonade, and Slush Puppies. They're currently closed but only because they're expanding! Crushed Peppers & Grill Excellent food and service have made this place a favorite. Crushed Peppers is known for its subs, pasta, and other dishes. Stash's Another Italian place with a vast variety of food on their menu is Stash's. This pizza comes with bufala mozzarella, pork sausage, and broccoli rabe. more Terramia Terramia first opened in 1993, and since then has provided diners in the North End with elevated Italian food.
