2020 Ford Escape in Norwood, MA | New Cars for Sale in Norwood, MA

The fully redesigned 2020 Ford Escape features improved exterior styling, new powertrain, chassis, and electronics, and a roomier interior. The all-new Escape is offered in S, SE, SE Sport Hybrid, SEL, and Titanium trim levels. Titanium trim has the option of hybrid power, and a plug-in hybrid will be available in Spring 2020.

Exterior Design

The 2020 Ford Escape is longer, wider, and lower than the previous model and features a Ford Mustang-inspired trapezoidal grille and front fascia. The sculpted aerodynamic profile, underbody shrouding, and sporty rear-end design help to optimize airflow. A lower beltline has improved the vision for rear-seat passengers.

S models have configurable daytime running lights, 17-inch wheels, black mirrors and trim, dual chrome exhaust tips, and a color-keyed rear spoiler. The SE adds LED signature lighting, alloy wheels, chrome trim, and color-keyed door handles and heated mirrors. SEL trim has fog lights, 18-inch wheels, roof rails, and a hands-free power liftgate, while the Titanium adds LED fog lights.

Interior Styling

Inside the Escape’s contemporary cabin, you’ll find 60/40 split fold-down rear seats with a sliding feature that either gives you more versatile cargo space or best-in-class second-row legroom. S trim offers cloth upholstery, a six-way adjustable driving seat, a 4.2-inch driver information display, a rotary gear shift dial, and a tilt and telescoping steering column.

SE trim adds a 10-way power driving seat, automatic climate control, push-button start, while the SE Sport Hybrid has a configurable 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a leather-bound steering wheel. The SEL has simulated leather upholstery, a memory driving seat and mirrors, and heated front seats and steering wheel. Titanium trim features leather upholstery, power passenger seat, and dual-zone climate control.

Power and Performance

Standard power is provided by a 1.5-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine that produces 181 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. Optional for the SEL and standard in the Titanium is a 250 horsepower 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine delivering 280 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and feature stop/start technology.

Powering the SE Sport Hybrid and available in the Titanium is a 2.5-liter engine linked to two electric motors to give a total system output of 198 horsepower. It’s mated to a continuously variable transmission. With the 2.0-liter engine and the Class 2 Trailer Tow Package, the Escape has a towing capacity of up to 3,500 pounds. All models have standard front-wheel drive and the option of all-wheel drive.

Technology

The Escape features FordPass Connect providing a 4G Wi-Fi hot spot for up to 10 devices. All but the S trim have the Sync 3 infotainment system offering smartphone integration, Ford plus Alexa, Waze, and an 8-inch touch screen.

Standard driver assistance features include pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and a lane-keeping system. Titanium models add active parking assist, an automatic dimming rearview mirror, and the option of a head-up display.
