The Ford F-150 full-size pickup truck has been America’s best-selling vehicle for many years and sets the bar for the competition. The 2020 F-150 is available in XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum trim levels, and the luxurious Limited trim. There’s also the off-road specialist Raptor model with its own unique rugged exterior and interior styling and features. Here are five reasons to make the F-150 your next truck.

  1. Tough and Good-Looking

The 2020 Ford F-150 has a bold attention-grabbing design and makes tough tasks look easy with its high-strength aluminum body and steel frame. Choose from a regular cab, SuperCab, or SuperCrew, and three bed lengths.

The base XL offers black bumpers and trim, daytime running lights, 17-inch steel wheels, and an integrated cargo lamp. The XLT adds chrome bumpers, fog lights, alloy wheels, and a power-locking tailgate. Lariat models feature 18-inch wheels, color-keyed door handles and heated power mirrors with turn signals and approach lights, and a power-sliding rear window.

The King Ranch has two-tone paint, quad-beam LED headlights, LED fog lights, side steps, mirror-mounted LED spotlights, remote tailgate release, and LED bed lighting. Platinum models add color-keyed bumpers, 20-inch wheels, and power-deployable running boards. The Limited trim gives you 22-inch wheels, satin chrome trim, and a dual-panel moonroof.

  1. Powerful Engine Options

Starting the engine lineup is a 3.3-liter V-6 that produces 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque via a six-speed automatic transmission. Next up is a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. A 5.0-liter V-8 unit gives you 395 horsepower and 400 pound-feet.

Ramping up the power is a turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine, generating 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet or , with the high-output version, 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet. Finally, a 3.0-liter turbo diesel gives you 250 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque. All but the base engine are matched with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

  1. Capability

Depending on how you configure the cab, bed, and engine, the F-150 offers a best-in-class payload of up to 3,270 pounds and a maximum towing capacity of 13,200 pounds. When your work or play takes you off the beaten path, the available four-wheel-drive system features a shift-on-the-fly system, a two-speed transfer case, and an electronic locking rear differential.
