The Parish Cafe

The Parish Cafe opened in 1992 with a unique concept. Owner Gordon Wilcox approached Boston’s most famous chefs and asked each of them to create a sandwich for the restaurant. Each sandwich on The Parish Cafe menu is named after the chef who created it. Some examples of vegetarian sandwiches from The Parish Cafe are the smoke shop tofu sandwich, the eggplant milanesa sandwich, and The Alden. The Alden was created by Chef Michael Scelfo of Waypoint and Alden and Harlow. This sandwich features fresh basil, hot cherry peppers, crispy chick peas, pecorino aioli, and charred broccoli. It is served on grilled ciabatta with a side of potato chips.
