The New England Aquarium is on the scenic Waterfront at 1 Central Wharf and is open Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and stays open until 6 p.m. over weekends.  

3. Go on a Historic Swan Boat Voyage

Go on a fun family outing in the beautiful 24-acre Public Garden, the first botanical garden in the country, established in 1837. Stroll down the many picturesque pathways that wind through this peaceful green and flowering Victorian-style garden and board one of the iconic Swan Boats for a lovely 15-minute cruise on the scenic Garden Lagoon. 

The Swan Boats have been floating on the lagoon since the late 1800s. The current fleet includes boats built between 1910 and 1992. Each boat has six oak benches and is paddled by a driver. All you have to do is sit back, relax, and admire the beautiful scenery.

The public Garden is at 4 Charles Street, and the boats are available daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and in summer until 5 p.m.
