1. Why service my lease at Jack Madden Ford instead of an independent shop?

2. What is “Residual Value” and how does mileage affect it?

Residual Value is the estimated value of your vehicle at the end of the lease and plays a major role in determining your monthly payment.

  • Higher mileage: Lowers residual value due to increased wear
  • Lower mileage: Keeps payments lower but must match your driving habits
Overage mileage fees typically range from $0.15–$0.25 per mile at lease turn-in.

3. Is GAP coverage included in a Ford Red Carpet Lease?

Yes. GAP (Guaranteed Asset Protection) is included at no additional cost. If your vehicle is totaled or stolen, GAP covers the difference between insurance payout and your remaining lease balance.

4. What is the Disposition Fee and can it be waived?

The Disposition Fee (currently $395 for most Ford Credit leases) covers cleaning and resale preparation after lease return.

Good news: If you lease or purchase another Ford through Ford Credit within 120 days, this fee is typically waived.

5. How does the Lease Buyout process work?

You can purchase your leased Ford at any time using the Purchase Option Price listed in your original agreement.

  • Contact the Jack Madden Ford Business Office for a payoff quote
  • No buyout fee from Ford Credit
  • Standard state title, registration, and documentation fees apply

6. What is considered Excessive Wear and Use?

Normal wear is expected, but excessive wear may include:

  • Dents larger than 4 inches or more than 3 per panel
  • Windshield cracks or star damage
  • Tire tread below 1/8 inch
  • Permanent upholstery stains or holes
Pro Tip: Schedule a complimentary pre-return inspection 60–90 days before lease end to avoid surprises.

7. What if I need to end my lease early?

  • Lease Pull-Ahead: Ford may waive final payments when upgrading early
  • Early Trade-In: Your lease may have equity toward a new vehicle
  • Early Return: Early termination fees may apply
